Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 2026
Welcome to Export In Stock Lanka. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, submission of enquiries and quotation requests, and any business transactions facilitated through our platform.
Export In Stock Lanka is a Sri Lanka-based B2B sourcing and export platform designed to connect international buyers with Sri Lankan manufacturers, producers, exporters, wholesalers, and suppliers.
By accessing or using this website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue using the website.
1. Website Usage
By using Export In Stock Lanka, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into business transactions.
- Information submitted through our website is accurate and complete.
- You will use the website only for legitimate business and sourcing purposes.
- You will not use the website for fraudulent, unlawful, misleading, or prohibited activities.
- You will not attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the website.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website where misuse, fraudulent activity, or other prohibited behaviour is suspected.
2. Nature of Our Platform
Export In Stock Lanka facilitates B2B sourcing opportunities between international buyers and Sri Lankan suppliers.
Depending on the product and transaction, products may be supplied directly by Export In Stock Lanka, an associated supplier, manufacturer, producer, wholesaler, exporter, or another third-party supplier.
Submitting an enquiry or requesting a quotation through our website does not automatically create a binding purchase agreement.
A commercial transaction will only become binding once the relevant parties have agreed to the applicable quotation, specifications, quantities, pricing, payment terms, shipping terms, and other conditions of sale.
3. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, specifications, packaging information, and other product details.
However, because products may be sourced from different manufacturers and suppliers:
- Product specifications may vary.
- Packaging may differ from images displayed on the website.
- Product colours, dimensions, weights, and appearance may vary within reasonable manufacturing tolerances.
- Agricultural and natural products may have natural variations.
- Product availability may change without notice.
- Specifications may be updated by manufacturers or suppliers.
Buyers should confirm all important specifications before placing a commercial order.
For customised, agricultural, industrial, or specification-sensitive products, the final agreed quotation, specification sheet, purchase order, pro forma invoice, or contract will take precedence over general information displayed on the website.
4. Request for Quotations
Prices for B2B and export products may not always be displayed publicly because final pricing can depend on factors including:
- Order quantity
- Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
- Product grade or specification
- Customisation requirements
- Packaging
- Private labelling
- Destination country
- Shipping method
- Incoterms
- Currency
- Raw material prices
- Exchange rates
- Freight costs
- Other commercial requirements
Submitting a Request for Quotation (RFQ) does not obligate either party to complete a transaction.
Quotations may have a specified validity period and may be revised after that period.
5. Minimum Order Quantities
Certain products are available only subject to a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ).
MOQ requirements vary according to the product, supplier, packaging, customisation, and manufacturing requirements.
The applicable MOQ will be communicated during the quotation process.
Sample orders or smaller quantities may be available for selected products at different pricing.
6. Samples
Samples may be available for selected products upon request.
Depending on the product and supplier:
- Samples may be free or chargeable.
- Buyers may be required to pay courier or international shipping costs.
- Sample specifications may differ slightly from subsequent production batches due to natural or manufacturing variations.
- Providing a sample does not guarantee availability for future bulk orders.
Where product characteristics are particularly important, buyers are encouraged to approve samples or specifications before confirming a bulk order.
7. Pricing
Unless otherwise specified in a quotation, prices displayed or discussed are indicative and may be subject to change.
Final prices may be affected by:
- Order volume
- Raw material costs
- Currency exchange rates
- Packaging requirements
- Freight charges
- Fuel surcharges
- Customs requirements
- Taxes and duties
- Insurance
- Product customisation
- Market conditions
The final price applicable to an order will be stated in the agreed quotation, pro forma invoice, purchase agreement, or other relevant commercial document.
8. Orders and Order Confirmation
A quotation request, enquiry, or discussion with Export In Stock Lanka does not constitute an accepted order.
An order will generally be considered confirmed only after:
- Product specifications have been agreed.
- Quantity and MOQ requirements have been agreed.
- Pricing has been confirmed.
- Payment terms have been agreed.
- Shipping or Incoterms have been agreed where applicable.
- Any required deposit or advance payment has been received.
- The supplier has confirmed production or product availability.
We reserve the right to reject or cancel an order before final confirmation where fulfilment is not reasonably possible.
9. Payments
Payment methods and payment terms will be specified in the relevant quotation, pro forma invoice, or commercial agreement.
Depending on the transaction, payment may be required through:
- Bank transfer
- Telegraphic Transfer (T/T)
- Supported online payment methods
- Letter of Credit (L/C), where agreed
- Other mutually agreed payment arrangements
Certain orders may require full advance payment or a deposit before production or processing begins.
Buyers are responsible for ensuring that payments are made only to payment details officially provided and confirmed for the relevant transaction.
10. Production & Lead Times
Production and preparation times vary depending on the product, quantity, supplier, season, packaging, customisation, and availability of raw materials.
Any production or dispatch dates provided are estimates unless specifically guaranteed in writing.
Delays may occur due to circumstances including:
- Raw material shortages
- Manufacturing delays
- Port congestion
- Shipping disruptions
- Customs procedures
- Extreme weather
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Labour disruptions
- Events beyond reasonable control
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays affecting confirmed orders.
11. International Shipping
Export orders may be shipped by sea freight, air freight, courier, or other mutually agreed transportation methods.
Shipping arrangements will depend on the product, quantity, destination, and agreed commercial terms.
International shipping charges may include:
- Freight
- Handling
- Documentation
- Port charges
- Insurance
- Customs-related charges
- Local destination charges
The party responsible for each cost will depend on the agreed shipping terms and applicable Incoterms, where used.
12. Customs, Import Duties & Taxes
International buyers are responsible for understanding the import requirements applicable in their destination country.
Unless specifically included in the agreed quotation or Incoterm, the buyer may be responsible for:
- Import duties
- Customs clearance charges
- VAT, GST, or other local taxes
- Import permits
- Product registrations
- Inspection charges
- Destination port charges
- Other government or regulatory fees
Export In Stock Lanka cannot guarantee that a particular product will be permitted for import into every country.
Buyers should confirm applicable import regulations before placing an order.
13. Product Certifications & Compliance
Certification and regulatory requirements differ by product and destination market.
Where certificates, laboratory reports, phytosanitary documentation, Certificates of Origin, fumigation certificates, or other documents are required, buyers should clearly communicate these requirements before confirming an order.
Availability and additional costs for such documentation will be confirmed during the quotation process.
Buyers remain responsible for determining whether the product complies with the laws and regulations applicable in their destination market unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
14. Private Label & Customised Products
Selected products may be available with:
- Custom packaging
- Private labelling
- Custom dimensions
- Custom specifications
- Buyer branding
- Other manufacturing modifications
Custom orders may require higher MOQs, additional setup charges, artwork approval, sample approval, and longer production lead times.
Once production of a customised or private-label order has commenced, cancellation or refund may not be possible.
15. Inspection & Quality Claims
Buyers should inspect goods promptly after receiving them.
Any claim concerning incorrect quantities, significant damage, manufacturing defects, or products materially differing from the agreed specifications should be reported within the timeframe stated in the applicable quotation or sales agreement.
Where no separate timeframe has been specified, buyers should notify us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.
Supporting evidence may be required, including:
- Photographs
- Videos
- Packaging photographs
- Batch or lot information
- Shipping documentation
- Inspection reports
Claims will be assessed based on the agreed product specifications and circumstances of the transaction.
16. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Because export and B2B orders are often manufactured, packaged, sourced, or prepared specifically for a buyer, standard retail return policies may not apply.
Returns, refunds, replacements, and cancellations will depend on:
- Product type
- Order status
- Customisation
- Supplier terms
- Nature of the issue
- Agreed commercial terms
Custom-manufactured, private-label, made-to-order, or specially packaged products may be non-refundable once production has commenced.
Any applicable cancellation or refund conditions should be confirmed before the order is finalised.
17. Third-Party Suppliers
Export In Stock Lanka may connect buyers with independent manufacturers, producers, exporters, wholesalers, logistics providers, or other third parties.
Where a transaction is fulfilled by an independent third party, that party may have its own commercial terms, warranties, shipping conditions, and policies.
We make reasonable efforts to work with suitable suppliers but cannot guarantee the ongoing performance, availability, financial condition, or conduct of every independent third party.
Buyers should conduct any additional due diligence they consider necessary before entering into significant commercial transactions.
18. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content including:

This may include losses resulting from:
- Shipping delays

- Changes in freight costs
- Currency fluctuations
- Product unavailability
- Third-party logistics failures
- Regulatory or import restrictions
- Business interruption
- Loss of profits
- Events outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
20. Force Majeure
Neither Export In Stock Lanka nor an applicable supplier will be responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include natural disasters, floods, extreme weather, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, port closures, shipping disruptions, strikes, epidemics, pandemics, shortages, or other force majeure events.
21. Privacy
Information submitted through our website, including contact details, company information, product requirements, and quotation requests, will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may be shared with relevant suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, or service providers where reasonably necessary to respond to an enquiry, prepare a quotation, or fulfil a transaction.
22. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Any revised Terms & Conditions will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
